UGS is a station exclusively used for Vnet/IP to integrate CENTUM VP and subsystem controllers such as STARDOM controllers (FCN/FCJ) and other thirdparty programmable logic controllers (PLCs). The UGS standard function allows CENTUM VP to communicate with subsystem controllers via various communication protocols such as Modbus, EtherNet/IP or OPC DA. And CENTUM VP is able to operate and monitor those subsystems via UGS in the same way as its own FCS.
