Remove the main module from the rack. Refer to Removing and inserting a main module on page 24. Remove the field wiring from the I/O module. If the wires connected to the I/O module are not labeled, label the wires before you remove them. Remove the old I/O module from the rack. Install the new I/O module into the rack.Connect the field wiring to the new I/O module. Install the main module into the rack.
